Andrew Usher is the CMD Scotland Trainer.
Crazy Monkey Defense Scotland is based in Caithness, in the far north of Scotland. In 2010 he decided to undertake intense training with Rodney King, founder of Crazy Monkey Defense program, and Machado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt (2nd Dan) in order to become the CMD representative for Caithness and Scotland.
Andrew has trained personally with Rodney King, in 2010 and again in January 2011, and is committed to bringing Head Coach and founder Rodney King to Scotland twice a year.
By leaving ego at the door, and training functionally in a fun way, students can progress in a safe and secure way, obtaining their goals, be them physical, emotional or other. This embodies the CMD approach to training.
Andrew has a wealth of experience within areas such as pyschology, education, fitness and complementary medicine.
Andrew has taught martial arts in Caithness for over 10 years, the club originally being under the name of Evolved Martial Arts which was formed in 2001.
Previously Andrew has been the provisio Director of RMAX, Affiliate instructor with systema UK, ATG with the Straight Blast Gym, and has trained and certified in many styles of martial arts. Andrew is also an accredited level 2 Fitness Instructor with the Register of Exercise Professionals, and a level 3 Personal Trainer also with the Register of Exercise Professionals.He also holds a level 1 Precision Nutrition certificate, along with an Athletics Leader Award, Jog Scotland Leader award along with numerous martial art certificates and grades.
Andrew is also the Director of Fitness and Wellness LTD, the non clincal partner at Dunbeath Medical Surgery, and former Dean for the British Institute of Homeopathy, where he overseen education, course accreditation, online education and international affairs.
Andrew sees private patients for clinical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy at Dunbeath Medical Practice, and sees clients for personal training and private CMD lessons.
Andrew tutors a wide range of clients from housewives, to police and military to professional and semi professional athletes.
